Pepper Talk with Taylor Moffett

Ready or not, it’s time for our next Pepper Talk with Taylor Moffett!

Just a little background before we get started, Taylor is a senior marketing strategist who supports our commercial team. She became a Pepper at the start of 2024!

1. Do you have any nicknames?
My friends and family call me Tay (against my wishes).

2. What is the first thing you do when you wake up?
Tell my cats that it’s not time for breakfast yet.

3. What is your favorite part about working as a digital marketer?
Every day is different and there are always new problems to solve. I also enjoy working and collaborating with a talented, creative team.

4. How did you get started in this industry?
During my senior year of college, I was an intern at an advertising agency that produced commercials for Toyota. I shadowed their art director and loved seeing how their ideas were brought to life.

5. What are your favorite tools of the trade? What are the worst?
Monday is a good one – really anything that helps me visualize a project. Is YouTube a tool of this trade? I watch a lot of YouTube videos for inspiration. Excel gives me a headache.

6. Do you have a set process when starting a new project?
I like to talk, so brainstorming is always my favorite way to kick off a project.

Favorite TV series: I can’t pick one. Big Little Lies, Mad Men, Severance

Favorite place to travel: Orlando! I spend an embarrassing amount of time at Disney World and Universal Studios.

Hobbies: Thrifting, home renovation projects, watching movies (yes, that’s a hobby), and traveling with friends

8. Okay, admission time… What brand do you admire most for their marketing campaigns/strategy?
I’m a big fan of McDonald’s “famous orders” collaborations (I’ve had them all). I’m also always stalking Disney and Universal on social, and I admire their influencer marketing strategies.
